One of the most popular Savoy operas, HMS Pinafore is frequently performed by companies and conductors who otherwise have little specific expertise in Sullivan's music, or with full pit orchestras. If that sentence describes you, perhaps you'll find this page to be helpful.

This Note8 edition is based on Sullivan's autograph score, which is available online here.  It is also designed to be compatible with the Kalmus parts, the Kalmus score, and the Broude Brothers score.  Score and parts contain both Kalmus rehearsal letters and Broude measure numbers. They also contain variants and explanatory text describing the most significant differences between all of these sources.  For a fully detailed comparison of all of the sources, click here.
